Rotary Club of Port Blair Observes World Animal Day

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 4 (Dr. Dinesh): World Animal Day was observed with great enthusiasm and compassion today by the Rotary Club of Port Blair, with a special programme organised at Annapurna Gowshala, Calicut, Sri Vijaya Puram.

The programme was successfully coordinated and managed by the Club members, whose dedication and enthusiasm contributed greatly to making the initiative meaningful. A few invited guests also joined the programme and extended their support towards this noble cause, with some making valuable contributions.

As part of the observance, around 17 cows at the goshala were provided with fruits, vegetables, commercial cattle feed, grass, grains and other nutritious food items.

President Rtn. Arun Srivastava, along with other Club members, actively participated in the programme and extended his support.

The initiative reflected Rotary’s commitment to compassion, responsible animal care and community service, while spreading the message that every living being deserves kindness, care and dignity.
