Sailing Programmes by DSS Likely to be Affected due to Prevailing Inclement Weather, Passengers Advised

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 15: Due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions and strong winds, the operation of Harbour/Vehicle ferry services between Chatham, Bambooflat, Phoenix Bay, Dundas Point & Panighat (Hopetown) has become difficult and is considered unsafe. Accordingly, the sailing schedules of DSS vessels operating in the Harbour Sector may be delayed, suspended or cancelled at short notice, depending on the prevailing weather conditions.

In addition, ferry services in the Foreshore Sector and Inter Island Sector services may also be delayed, disrupted, suspended or cancelled at short notice, depending on the weather conditions. Passengers and tourists are, therefore, advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.
