Mayabunder, Oct. 22: Ms. Vandana Rao, Secretary (Health), visited Dr. R.P Hospital, Mayabunder, to review the healthcare facilities and services being provided to the general public. During the visit, the newly established Blood Storage Unit was formally made operational in her presence. The unit, which is currently licensed to store Packed Red Blood Cells (PRBCs), will receive its blood supply from the Mother Blood Bank at Sri Vijaya Puram, thereby strengthening the hospital’s capacity to cater to patients requiring blood transfusion services.
