
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 1: The 38th National Under-07 Chess Championship 2025 commenced today in Khordha, Odisha, welcoming around 340 enthusiastic young players from all corners of the country. Among the participants are seven promising chess players from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, ready to showcase their talent on the national stage.
Representing the boys’ category are Nuhaan Siddique V K, Easanth T, M Ritwik, and Siddharth Jaiswal, while the girls’ category features Aisleen, Liora Thomas, Aradhya Podder, and N Danusri.
The championship will follow the classical format with a time control of 90 minutes plus 30 seconds increment from move one, spanning five days from June 1st to 5th. With a total prize fund of ₹5,00,000 for the top 20 performers in each category, the event promises intense competition and valuable learning.
