Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 30: The Government of India launched the Central Sector Scheme “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)” in 2018-19 to provide financial assistance to eligible farmer families. Under the Scheme, ₹6,000/- per year is provided in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000/- each. So far, 23 installments have been released.
Certain mandatory requirements have been introduced in phases, such as land seeding from the 12th installment, Aadhaar seeding with bank account from the 14th installment, and e-KYC from the 15th installment.
Despite sustained efforts through saturation drives, field-level campaigns, CSCs, awareness programmes and SMS communications, some beneficiaries still have one or more of these requirements pending.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India, has provided another opportunity to States/UTs to facilitate completion of pending requirements through a special drive from 2nd October 2026 to 31st October 2026, with the objective of ensuring an accurate and verified PM-KISAN beneficiary database.
PM-KISAN beneficiaries who have not yet completed land seeding, e-KYC or Aadhaar seeding with their bank account are therefore requested to complete the same during the drive.
After completion of the special drive, farmers who still continue to have pending mandatory requirements will have to apply afresh under the Scheme through the prescribed application process and thereafter complete all mandatory verification requirements.
