Special Verification Camp Organised at Chouldari to Ensure Accurate Identification and Inclusion of Beneficiaries Under PMSG-MBY

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 16: In a concerted effort to ensure accurate identification and inclusion of eligible households under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSG-MBY), the District Administration, South Andaman today organized a special verification camp at Gram Panchayat, Chouldari.

The camp was organized with the objective of validating the credentials of beneficiaries enrolled under various flagship welfare schemes of the Government of India, including the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Priority Household (PHH), and Ayushman Bharat Yojana, to ensure that only genuine and eligible households are considered for benefits under the solar initiative.

Smti Priyanka Kumari, Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman, delivered an informative address on the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, outlining the scheme’s objectives, benefits, eligibility criteria, and the procedure for availing its provisions. During the camp, the credentials of 64 beneficiaries were verified by officials from the Departments of Rural Development, Civil Supplies, and Health Services to ensure transparency and inclusion of genuine households under the scheme.

The camp was attended by the Zilla Parishad Members, Pradhan, Chouldari Gram Panchayat and officials from the Rural Development Department, Health Department, and Civil Supplies Department, along with Revenue officials and a large gathering of villagers.

The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all eligible households in rural and urban areas are duly verified and included under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, thereby promoting energy self-reliance and reducing dependence on conventional electricity sources.
