Diglipur, April 13: Two exciting matches were played today at Vivekanand Stadium, Diglipur, as part of the ongoing ‘Cricket Champions T20 League’, drawing enthusiastic support from cricket lovers.
In the first match of the day, Subhashgram Panchayat defeated Bengali Tigers by 22 runs in a closely contested game. Batting first, Subhashgram Panchayat posted 137 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Salim contributed 25 runs off 26 balls, while Badal remained unbeaten on 22. For Bengali Tigers, Anupam was the pick of the bowlers, taking three wickets.
Chasing the target, the Bengali Tigers were bowled out for 115 runs. Sudip was the top scorer with 23 runs. Bharat of Subhashgram Panchayat was declared the Man of the Match for his impressive performance.
In the second match played in the afternoon, Diglipur Police secured a comfortable victory over BN Boys by five wickets. Batting first, BN Boys could manage only 57 runs. Diglipur Police chased down the target with ease, reaching the total in 10.4 overs while losing five wickets. Salman was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Tomorrow, HI-Tech will take on Royal Strikers in the morning match, followed by a clash between GP Mayabunder and Diglipur in the afternoon.
