Superintendent of Police (District) N&MA Holds Jan Sunvai at Kishori Nagar

Kishorinagar, May 19: On 17/05/2025, a Jan Sunvai was held at the Kishori Nagar Panchayat Hall, where Ms. Shweta K Sugathan, IPS, Superintendent of Police (District), North & Middle Andaman, and Sh. Ankesh Yadav, DANIPS, Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Diglipur along with SI Ashok Kumar Baghel, SHO, PS Kalighat interacted with the local residents and addressed various public grievances.

During the event, the officers patiently heard the concerns raised by the citizens and assured them of appropriate and timely action. The initiative aimed to strengthen police-public relations and ensure that community concerns are addressed in a transparent and responsive manner. By engaging directly with the community, the police aimed to create a more responsive and inclusive system where citizens feel heard, valued, and actively involved in the maintenance of law and order.

In addition to grievance redressal, a dedicated awareness session on Drug Abuse and Cyber Crimes was conducted to educate and empower the community, especially the youth and parents. The officers highlighted the alarming rise in substance abuse among young individuals and its devastating impact on families and society. They emphasized the importance of early intervention, community vigilance, and the role of family and educational institutions in preventing drug addiction.

The N&MA District Police emphasized its commitment to maintaining a safe and drug-free environment and sought the continued cooperation of the public in this endeavour.
