SVPMC to Conduct Survey of Street Vendors

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 30: The general public have been informed that the Town Vending Committee (TVC), SVPMC shall conduct a survey of street vendors within the jurisdiction of SVPMC, in accordance with the provisions of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

The survey shall be conducted Ward-wise from 6th July, 2026 onwards, as per the following approved schedule, by duly constituted Survey Teams, for the purpose of establishing the genuineness of street vendors.

Ward No. 1 & 13: 06 July – 07 July 2026

Ward No. 2 & 14: 08 July – 09 July 2026

Ward No. 3 & 15: 10 July – 11 July 2026

Ward No. 4 & 16: 13 July – 14 July 2026

Ward No. 5 & 17: 15 July – 16 July 2026

Ward No. 6 & 18: 17 July – 18 July 2026

Ward No. 7 & 19: 20 July – 21 July 2026

Ward No. 8 & 20: 22 July – 23 July 2026

Ward No. 9 & 21: 24 July – 25 July 2026

Ward No. 10 & 22: 27 July – 28 July 2026

Ward No. 11 & 23: 29 July – 30 July 2026

Ward No. 12 & 24: 31 July – 01 August 2026

Important Instructions for Street Vendors

•Only those vendors who are physically present and actively engaged in vending activities in the designated vending zones during the time of survey shall be considered.

•The presence of the vendor along with his/her vending cart is mandatory at the time of survey.

•Vendors must keep ready the following:

•Two (02) passport size photographs

•Valid identity proof (Aadhaar Card / Voter ID, etc.)

•Mobile number (mandatory)

•Vendors are required to cooperate with the Survey Teams and provide correct information.

•Vendors not found during the survey period in their respective Wards shall not be considered for issuance of Certificate of Vending (CoV).

It is further informed that the shortlisted vendors shall subsequently be required to submit an affidavit regarding their financial status, as per applicable scheme provisions, for determining eligibility.

All concerned are requested to take note of the above and ensure their presence during the survey as per schedule.
