Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 17: The Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan was nationally inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India today at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. The webcast of the national launch was organized at the Conference Hall, DBRAIT.
In the Union Territory of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan and the 8th Rashtriya Poshan Maah were formally launched today in line with the rest of the country. The event was graced by Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Dr. Chandra Bhushan Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, and other senior officers of A&N Administration.
As part of the programme, a series of impactful health activities have been rolled out, including comprehensive screening for Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), Sickle Cell Disease, Anemia, and Tuberculosis, with special focus on the tribal communities. In addition, the Social Welfare Department organized a Food Basket Display and showcased healthy recipes to promote nutritious dietary practices.
The campaign activities are being organized across all health facilities in the UT and will continue up to 2nd October, 2025. This comprehensive programme is dedicated to the health and empowerment of women, reinforcing the Administration’s commitment to the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar. The general public have been requested to avail the health facilities being provided during this campaign.
