Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 14: The Swasthya Nari Sashakt Parivar campaign will be observed in A & N Islands along-with the rest of the States from Sept. 17 to Oct. 2, 2025 with a series of health-oriented activities aimed at strengthening women’s health and family well-being.
As part of the campaign, special health camps with specialist consultations, anaemia screening, NCD (Non-Communicable Diseases) screening, adolescent health check-ups, and menstrual hygiene awareness sessions will be organized across isles. In addition, IEC materials on nutrition and healthy practices will be displayed and disseminated widely to generate awareness among the community.
Health authorities appeals to the public to register themselves at their nearby health centres and avail the benefits of the free services during the fortnight-long campaign. The initiative is expected to create greater awareness about preventive health care, nutrition, and the importance of women’s health in building stronger families and societies.
Under the campaign, ‘Poshan Maah’ will also be observed at all Anganwadi Centres to promote nutrition, health awareness, and overall well-being of women and children. Together, these measures aim to build healthier families and empowered communities across the Country. Participation of the Private Hospitals and Healthcare Stakeholders will also be an integral part of this ‘Jan Bhagidari Abhiyaan’.
