Swift Action by Rangat Police Leads to Seizure of Illicit Ganja and Arrest

Rangat, July 8: In a swift and decisive operation, Police Station Rangat successfully unearthed an illegal drug trafficking attempt in Janakpur, Rangat, based on credible intelligence received. The operation was conducted under the direction of Shri Rajnikant Awadhiya, DANIPS, SDPO Rangat.

A dedicated raiding team comprising Inspector Mohd. Sameer, SHO, PS Rangat, SI Abdul Sajeed, PCs K. Samir, Yashwant Rao, T.K. Anas, T. Abdul Ameen, K.M. Basheer, and Miss K.P. Nasreen (SOCO) along with two independent witnesses was immediately constituted and rushed to the location.

Upon arrival and following a pre-arranged signal from the informer, the suspect was intercepted and a personal search led to the recovery of approx. 1 kg of illicit ganja from his possession.

During the interrogation, the accused confessed to the offence and following due procedure, the accused was arrested on the spot and a case has been registered at PS Rangat under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, 1985, for further investigation.
