Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 9: A 10-day Tailoring and Embroidery Training Programme organized by DAY-NRLM, CD Block Diglipur in collaboration with the Industries Department, Diglipur commenced at Diglipur today. While inaugurating the programme, Shri M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur, highlighted that such capacity-building efforts play a vital role in empowering rural women and strengthening the economic fabric of the community.
The Industries Promotion Officer, Diglipur, Ms. Afreen Neesa, gave a detailed roadmap of the 10 days training program. Further, the BDO Diglipur and IPO Diglipur distributed the training kits to all the 30 participants. The training aims to equip members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) with the latest techniques and practical skills in tailoring and embroidery. 30 women participants from various SHGs under Diglipur will be provided the training which will continue till Oct. 21.
