TGCE Organises Awareness Program on ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra’

Sri Vijaya Puram Aug. 31: Under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), Tagore Govt. College of Education (TGCE) organized a one-day awareness program titled ‘Viksit Bharat Ka Mantra, Bharat Ho Nashe Se Swatantra’ yesterday. The event aimed to raise awareness about the detrimental impact of substance abuse and encourage a drug-free society.

The program featured insightful talks by a panel of experts Dr. MK Mahato, IRCA, SI Manoj Lal and ASI Surya Narayan from the Anti-Narcotics Department, Ms. Mariyam Bibi from With You (NGO), Shri. MK Naseer from Human Touch (NGO), Shri. Ravinder Rao from Art of Living and Ms. Ashrita Falia from the Department of Social Welfare.

The speakers discussed crucial aspects of substance abuse, including its primary causes, legal implications, and the challenges individuals face during rehabilitation. They also emphasized the need for a collective effort to fight addiction and promote healthier lifestyles.

A special segment focused on the importance of meditation and healthy living as effective tools in the prevention and recovery from substance abuse. Experts shared techniques that promote mental clarity and emotional well-being, which are vital in combating addiction and fostering a more balanced life.

In addition to the expert talks, trainees were shown educational videos about ongoing efforts against substance abuse. A skit performed by TGCE trainees depicted the message of a drug-free society, further contributing to the awareness campaign.
