Three-Day ‘Monsoon Food & Spice Festival – 2026’ Celebrates Rich Culinary Diversity of the Islands

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 28: The three-day ‘Monsoon Food & Spice Festival-2026’ with vibrant theme #Monsoon Flavours organized by the Tourism Department in collaboration with the line Departments at ITF Ground concluded today, drawing enthusiastic gathering and celebrating the rich culinary diversity of the islands. A wide array of food stalls featuring traditional delicacies, regional Indian cuisines, and popular street food items attracted food lovers throughout the event. Visitors relished specialties, and a variety of cuisines, making the festival a true culinary delight. Adding to the festive atmosphere was the musical performances, and cultural programmes that entertained visitors each evening.

A vibrant lineup of cultural performances marked the concluding day of the Island Food Festival. The evening commenced with contemporary and classical dance presented by the artistes of Andaman Islands Film Society followed by presentation of Bollywood and patriotic dance by the artistes of Dance Nritya Academy artistic. A live band performance was performed by the artistes of Kalapani band presenting Bollywood hit numbers.  The highlight of the concluding of the Monsoon Carnival event was the presentation of an awareness skit staged by A&N Police conveying important social messages through an engaging performance. The Police also conducted a cultural programme adding to the evening’s attractions.

A prize distribution ceremony was held in which winners of the Volleyball, Chess and Arm-Wrestling Competitions were awarded with trophies and cash prizes. In the Volleyball competition, Seva Bharath & Seva Bharath (A) team received the winner and runner up prizes of Rs. 7000/- and Rs. 5000/- and trophy respectively in the Men’s category. Similarly, In the Volleyball competition for women’s category, Volley Babes & Volley Slammers teams received the winner and runner up prizes of Rs. 7000/- and Rs. 5000/- and trophy respectively.

In the Chess Competition, Tanish Roy & Shishant Das stood winner and runner up respectively while in the Arm-Wrestling competition, Shishant Das & Tanish Roy were remained winner and runner up respectively. Trophies were awarded to prize winners.
