Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 6: The two-day training in Operations and Maintenance of Wireless Communication Network was conducted at Govt. Saw Mill, Chatham. Dr. Anil Kumar, IFS, Chief Conservator of Forests (Development and Utilization) inaugurated the training which was attended by the executive and frontline staff of Department of Environment and Forests, A&N Islands.
The training will help in maintaining seamless functioning of Wireless communication throughout A&N Islands. It is not only crucial for forestry operations and protection but is also important part of National Emergency Response System. About 35 executive staff (Deputy Ranger, Forester, Head Forest Guard and Forest Guard) from different Division attended the training.
