Diglipur, July 24: A Block-level Training Programme on the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026 was conducted today under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) at CD Block Diglipur in the presence of Shri. M Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, Diglipur.
The programme was attended by PRI members (Pradhans), Panchayat Secretaries, VLWs and Sanitary Supervisor. The training aimed to strengthen the capacity of Panchayat representatives and functionaries by enhancing their understanding of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026. The training session was conducted by Smt. Deepa Biswas, Domain Expert – Livelihood, RGSA, Directorate of RD, PRI & ULBs, who explained the key provisions of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, highlighting the importance of effective solid waste management at the grassroots level.
