Sri Vijaya Puram, June 14: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) conducted the Under-09 Chess Selection Trials 2026 on 13th June 2026 at the ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm, Sri Vijaya Puram for the selection of players to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands in the upcoming 39th National Under-09 Chess Championship 2026 to be held in Jharkhand from 6th to 12th July 2026.
After closely contested games, the following players were selected, based on their merit and final standings, to represent the Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the 39th National Under-09 Chess Championship 2026
Under-09 Boys
1. AFM Saw Jinson Samuel –secured First Position
2. Ritwik M – secured Second Position
Under-09 Girls
1. Shreenika N –secured First Position
2. Aradhya Rai– secured Second Position
The selected players have been informed to submit their written consent to participate in the National Championship on or before 20th June 2026 via Whatsapp @ 9434293379. In the event of non-submission of consent within the stipulated date, the opportunity to participate will be offered to the next eligible players in the order of merit.
