Sri Vijaya Puram, May 15: A vibrant atmosphere filled the Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School here today as the much-awaited Summer Hobby Classes for Kids were officially inaugurated. The month-long program, an initiative of the Department of Education under the guidance of Director of Education, Shri Vikram Singh, promises to engage young minds in a variety of creative pursuits. Classes are running daily from 9 am to 12 pm, until June 17, 2025.
The inauguration ceremony held on 13th May, 2025 was graced by Shri. Gyan Sheel Dubey, Head of Office/ DEO South Andaman as chief guest while Smt. Archana Singh, DDE (Planning)/ Principal, Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Sri Vijaya Puram was the guest of honour.
The chief guest addressed the participants and their parents, highlighting the significance of hobby classes in fostering creativity and holistic development in children. He encouraged everyone to utilize their time constructively and explore their artistic talents.
Smti Archana Singh also encouraged the participants to freely explore their inner talents and enjoy the classes while honing their skills.
The Summer Hobby Classes, being organized by the Department of Education offers a diverse range of art forms, including Singing, Dancing, Instrumental Music, Drawing, Painting and Craft, providing children with ample opportunities to discover and nurture their passions free of cost. The initiative is expected to provide valuable and enriching experience for the young students during their summer break with highly efficient and talented mentors.
