‘Yoga Bandhan’ Organised at Iconic Cellular Jail as Part of 11th International Yoga Day

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 16: As part of the nationwide celebrations for the 11th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2025, a flagship event titled ‘Yoga Bandhan’ was successfully held in front of the Iconic Cellular Jail, Sri Vijaya Puram. This historic monument, a solemn symbol of India’s freedom struggle, served as a powerful and evocative backdrop for the event.

The term ‘Bandhan’ signifies bond or connection, and the event was thoughtfully designed to reflect the unifying power of Yoga. It aimed to promote discipline, teamwork, and emotional well-being, particularly among the youth and uniformed groups.

Organized under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, this flagship initiative was a meaningful part of the IDY 2025 celebrations, conveying the universal message of ‘Yoga for Health, Harmony, and Humanity’.

About 30 NCC cadets and Yoga professionals actively participated in the session, performing Yoga in perfect synchrony with enthusiasm and commitment. Their involvement symbolized the core values of unity and harmony that Yoga nurtures in individuals and communities alike.
