Port Blair, Nov. 17: Shri. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member, BJP today met Admiral (Retd) Shri. D. K. Joshi, Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands at Raj Niwas and raised certain burning issues pertaining to people of these Islands. He demanded early redressal of these issues which is badly affecting the local populace.

In the meeting, the following issues were raised & discussed:

Port Blair, Nov. 17: Port Blair City Area Committee of CPI (M) has conducted corner meetings at various parts of the Port Blair town on 16th and 17th November, 2023 on the issues of (1) Against intermittent power supply (2) Against deplorable condition of urban roads (3) Against price rise, (4) On failure of Smart City Projects.

Addressing the corner meeting at Shadipur on 17th November, 2023, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) Andaman & Nicoabr State Organising Committee said that the BJP-led government at the centre has failed even to carry out the renovation work of NH 4 (ATR) and said that this is one of the utter failures of the Modi government.

Port Blair, Nov. 17: Highlighting the concern of candidates who appeared for various posts in A&N Police Department, the ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman, Mr. TSG Bhasker has written a letter to the Director General of Police, Shri. Devesh Chandra Srivastava, I.P.S on Tuesday, requesting him to reduce the cut off marks.

In the letter Bhasker said, “The Police Department had advertised for more than 300 posts in various categories and the exam and physical test for it were conducted accordingly”.

Port Blair, Nov. 17: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has requested the A&N Administration for regular shipping and Helicopter services at Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur, particularly in light of the deplorable condition of NH-4 road.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder said that the completion of NH-4 road is a crucial infrastructure development, but until its fruition, the residents are experiencing significant inconveniences in accessing their essential and emergency services.
