11th Conference of All India Federation of Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Held at Pune

Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 17: The 11th All India Conference of the All India Federation of Anganwadi Workers & Helpers was held at Pune, Maharashtra from 14th to 17th February, 2026. The Conference was inaugurated by K. Hemalatha, National Vice President of CITU on 14th February, 2026. 

Geeta Devi and R. Anbukkarasai, President and General Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Union attended the Conference representing Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Both of them participated in the discussions held on the organizational report and general demands of Anganwadi Workers & Helpers. 

The Conference adopted  23 resolutions on various demands of  the Anganwadi Workers  which  include (1) Regularise the services of  Anganwadi Workers and Helpers as Grade III and Grade IV  government employees and implement Gujarat High Court order on regularisation(2) pending regularization,  appoint Pay Commission for  Scheme Workers  (3) Implement Supreme Court order on  Gratuity  (4) No proviatisation of ICDS in any form (5) Withdraw mandatory FRS and e-KYC and  no  right holder  to be denied services in Anganwadies,  (5) Supervisors should be appointed only from among the  Anganwadi Workers, (6) to eradicate corruption in the implementation of ICDS, etc. 

The Conference has also chalked a detailed agitational programme throughout the country on the issues included in the resolutions.
