Subham Halder Wins Gold Medal for Overall Excellence

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 6: The Forest Training Institute (FTI), Wimberlygunj, conducted the Passing Out Ceremony of the 53rd Batch of Foresters, marking the successful completion of their intensive training. The ceremony was graced by Sanjay Kumar Sinha, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, as chief guest, and S. Dinesh Kannan, Chief Conservator of Forests (R&WP) and Chairperson, FTI, as guest of honour.
The programme began with a Guard of Honour, followed by invocation and lamp lighting. Shri Raju Rathour delivered the welcome address, highlighting discipline and integrity in forestry service. Shri Ajit V. John, Director, FTI, presented the annual report, outlining trainees’ achievements. The guest of honour appreciated the institute’s high training standards and urged trainees to serve with dedication.
Shri Subham Halder secured Rank I with 82.68% and received the Gold Medal for Overall Excellence. The Pipping Ceremony marked the trainees’ formal induction into service. The oath was administered by the chief guest, emphasizing integrity and commitment.
In his address, the chief guest stressed the vital role of foresters in biodiversity conservation and sustainable management in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri. Vijay Kishan, Range Officer.
