Workplace Health Screening Camps to be Conducted in South Andaman District

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 29: In order to extend the campaign of Ayushman Arogya Shivir at the community level, the District Administration, South Andaman, through the District Health Society in coordination with the Directorate of Health Services, has initiated the conduct of extensive workplace health screening camps across the district.

The health screening camps will be organized at various Government and Private establishments, including offices, firms, hotels, shops, construction sites, spas, workshops, travel agencies, and other workplaces. The initiative aims to facilitate early detection and screening of communicable and non-communicable diseases, as well as other health conditions.

A dedicated team comprising health professionals from multiple vertical health programmes will be deployed to conduct health screenings and collect samples for further diagnosis and treatment.

All Heads of Departments (HoDs) of Government offices and Owners/In-charges of Private establishments are hereby urged to extend full cooperation and coordinate with the designated health screening teams for the smooth and effective conduct of the camps.

They are further requested to:

• Facilitative necessary arrangements at the workplace for conducting the camps.

• Ensure maximum participation of employees, staff, and labourers.

• Nominate a nodal officer, if required, for coordination with the health teams.

The schedule and other necessary arrangements shall be communicated and managed by the assigned health teams of the District Health Society, South Andaman.

This issues with the approval of the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman.
