Sri Vijaya Puram, May 7: A nostalgic and soulful musical evening celebrating “The Voices That Defined An Era” will be organised on May 8, 2026, at Mansha Regency, bringing together music lovers from across the city.
The exclusive concert is being organised by Jhumurr Socio-Cultural Society, Sri Vijaya Puram under its unit ‘The Harmony.’ The event will feature prominent and popular artistes of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands, performing timeless melodies of Hindi film music from the unmatchable era.
The show is organised in honour of the legendary playback singers, highlighting the inimitable Trio – Kumar Sanu, Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan along with other celebrated voices, whose songs defined an unforgettable era of Indian cinema.
Performers will recreate several of their most popular numbers, reviving the charm, romance and emotional resonance of classic film music.
Inspired by the iconic song “Ye Bandhan To Pyaar Ka Bandhan Hai,” the programme seeks to highlight the enduring emotional connection created by music across generations. Organisers said the evening promises a blend of nostalgia, soulful performances and timeless musical memories.
The event is being coordinated by Shailender Singh & Aktar Hussain, and has been conceived by Asheesh Poddar. Besides celebrating the voices of iconic singers, the programme also aims to showcase the musical talent of the Islands.
With the theme ‘Singing, Sharing and Rejoicing – The Magic That Still Lives On!’, the organisers expect the evening to become a memorable celebration of melody, nostalgia and musical legacy.
