Sri Vijaya Puram, May 20: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM, (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency reviewed a presentation by the Excise Department on the proposed amendments to the Excise Policy and on formulation of SOP for procurements of premium liquors by ANIIDCO. Hon’ble Lt. Governor directed that the revised policy should be transparent and provide level playing field and ensure that the requirement of tourism in A&N Islands be fully met. Chief Secretary and senior officers of A&N Administration were also present.
