Shaheed Dweep, June 1: A delegation of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) led by President Shri Rangalal Halder, along with Mahila Congress State President Smt. Zubaida Begum, OBC Department Chairman Shri R.K. Raj, and Unorganised Workers & Employees Congress Chairman Shri S. Tejaswara Rao, undertook a one-day official visit to Shaheed Dweep on 29th May 2026.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with the Block Congress Committee, party workers, and karyakartas at Ram Nagar and Laxmanpur. Discussions focused on strengthening the party organization and addressing local issues affecting the people of the island.
A Street Corner Meeting was also held near the Vegetable Market, where public grievances related to transportation, tourism, employment, infrastructure, and healthcare were discussed. The delegation assured the public that their concerns would be taken up with the appropriate authorities.
The visit provided an opportunity for direct interaction with party workers and local residents, reaffirming the Congress Party’s commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Shaheed Dweep.
