Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 9: The State U-13 Chess Selection Tournament, organised by the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA), concluded successfully in Port Blair with young chess talents competing for selection to represent the Islands at the National Championship.
The U-13 Open category was conducted over 5 rounds, while the U-13 Girls category was played over 4 rounds. The tournament witnessed close competition, with several players finishing on the same points.
U-13 Open – Top Five

As per the selection criteria, the top two players from the Open category and top two players from the Girls category have been selected to represent Andaman & Nicobar Islands at the National U-13 Chess Championship will be held in Puducherry from 3rd to 9th September 2026.
The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) congratulates all the participating players for their commendable performance and fighting spirit.
