Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug. 22: The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Tagore Government College of Education (TGCE) in collaboration with the Andaman and Nicobar AIDS Control Society organized the ‘Red Run – 5 km Half Marathon’ on Aug 22, 2026.
A total of 46 trainees comprising of 18 boys and 28 girls, enthusiastically participated in the event and demonstrated their strong commitment to promoting awareness about HIV and its prevention. The run aimed to spread the message of HIV prevention, encourage healthy lifestyles, and inspire young people to actively contribute to creating an informed and stigma-free society. Dr. Manjulata Rao, Principal, TGCE, flagged off the marathon and appreciated the trainees for their enthusiastic participation and commitment to the cause.
Shri Animesh Uraw, Shri C. Mohd. Jasheem and Shri Lohith Rao secured first, second & third position in the Boys’ category while in the Girls’ Category, Ms. Stuthy, Ms. Harshita and Ms. Sanjana secured the top three positions.
