Explosive fists of master Chiragra
Hiding within a small rocky burrow, nestled within the crevices of the rocky shores of the Andaman islands is the master of a technique feared across the marine realm. The fastest and most powerful punch in the world. Meet the Chiragra mantis shrimp.
When an unsuspecting crab or snail finds itself stalked by this master, it is welcomed by a pair of heavily armored, club-like hands that snap forward with the acceleration of a bullet. The strike is so insanely fast that it literally tears the surrounding water apart, creating a vapor bubble that collapses in a micro-explosion of heat and light. Even if the initial strike misses, the sheer force of that collapsing bubble can shatter the thickest shell in milliseconds.

Equipped with stalked eyes honed over millions of years of evolution, this underwater master can easily spot even the most cleverly hidden prey or threat. Possessing one of the most complex visual systems in the animal kingdom, it sees the world through more than 12 distinct color channels, compared to just 3 in humans!
