Sri Vijaya Puram Resonates with Devotion & Cultural Festivity: First Dandiya Mahotsav held at ITF Ground
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 11: The Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Dr. Dinesh Sharma Ji, attended the first-ever Dandiya Mahotsav, organised by the Department of Art and Culture, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, at ITF Ground, Sri Vijaya Puram, today as the chief guest on the auspicious occasion of Sharad Navratri and paid his reverence to the nine divine forms of Maa Durga.
The grand celebration, filled with devotion, joy and the vibrant colours of Indian culture, further strengthened the message of our rich cultural heritage, social unity and mutual harmony.
On this auspicious occasion, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor prayed to Maa Durga to shower Her divine blessings upon every resident of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Islands move on the path of continued prosperity, peace, progress and harmony.
The occasion was graced by the Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray Ji; Chairperson, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, Smt. Vasantha; Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad (SA), Shri P. Ummer; Deputy Commissioner; Superintendent of Police; Secretaries of various Departments; and a large gathering of devotees.
