Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 16: In a significant step towards safeguarding the well-being of children and creating a healthier and safer learning environment, the Science Wing of the Directorate of Education, A&N Administration, with the active involvement of the Narcotics Cell of Andaman & Nicobar Police & Hope Foundation organized an awareness programme at Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School, Ferrargunj yesterday.
The initiative focused on sensitizing school students about the ill effects of tobacco and drug abuse & child abuse.
A total of 65 students of class VI to X actively participated in the programme, which featured awareness videos and interactive discussions. The Director of Education has announced that such education and awareness programmes along with the stakeholders will be organized every Saturday in different schools, ensuring continuous outreach and engagement with young minds.
