Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 7: The Marina Park stretch turned into a vibrant culinary hub today as the Two-Day Street Food Festival–2025 drew a huge crowd, with food lovers thronging the venue from early evening. Shri Sahul Hameed, Chairperson, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, inaugurated the festival today in the presence of Councillors, SVPMC officials and enthusiastic members of the public.
Around 60 food stalls, offering a wide variety of dishes prepared by local street vendors and Self-Help Groups (SHGs), are participating in the festival. Visitors enjoyed the lively ambience as they explored diverse flavours and interacted with local culinary talents.
The food festival was organized as part of the Calendar of Events (2025–26) of the A&N Administration, and aimed to promote local cuisine, encourage community participation, and support small vendors by providing them with a platform to showcase their culinary skills.
