
Sri Vijaya Puram, March 11: The District Administration, South Andaman, in its continued commitment to safeguard Government land and uphold the rule of law, has taken prompt and decisive action against fresh encroachments in Sri Vijaya Puram Tehsil.
During a recent inspection, fresh encroachments in the form of two temporary structures and three fencing were identified on Government land at Dudh Line Village. Acting immediately, the Revenue authorities conducted an eviction drive and successfully removed the unauthorized encroachments, thereby restoring approximately 2,000 square metres of revenue land to its original status. The action was carried out in a lawful and orderly manner, reaffirming the Administration’s resolve to prevent misuse of public land.
The District Administration has once again underscored its zero-tolerance policy towards encroachment on Government land. It has issued a stern warning to all individuals and entities indulging in or abetting such illegal activities that encroachment of Government land will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict penal action shall be initiated against violators strictly in accordance with the provisions of law, and any attempt to circumvent legal procedures will invite firm consequences.
The general public have been advised to strictly comply with all legal provisions governing land use and ownership. Citizens are encouraged to remain vigilant and cooperate with the Administration by reporting any instances of encroachment or illegal occupation of Government land.
