Sri Vijaya Puram, March 13: Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT), Pahargaon successfully organized “Adamya -Techno Sports 2026” on 13 March 2026 at the Dollygunj Mini Stadium with enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and staff members. The event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the youth of the institute. The Chief Guest was Shri Karma toppo, renowned name in Kayaking and Coach in SAI and Guest of Honour was Ms Sandhya Kispota another famous sport person from Islands.
The sports day began early in the morning with the Inaugural Torch ceremony at 6:30 AM, followed by the Opening Ceremony at 7:30 AM, where the sports meet was formally declared open. Various track and field events were conducted throughout the day with active participation from students across different departments.
The major events included 200 m sprint for boys and girls, 100 m sprint, 400 m and 800 m races, 4×100 relay races for boys and girls, shot put, discus throw, and javelin throw competitions. These events showcased the athletic abilities and competitive spirit of the participants.
Special events added excitement to the program, including the 100 m race for male and female staff members, which received enthusiastic support from students and spectators. A slow bike race for students and a tug-of-war competition between students and staff further enhanced the spirit of friendly competition and entertainment.
The sports activities were coordinated by a team of dedicated event managers and faculty members, ensuring smooth conduct of the competitions. Prize distribution for the winners was organized during the course of the events to recognize outstanding performances.
The program concluded with the formal declaration of the closing of Techno Sports 2026, followed by refreshments and lunch for participants and organizing teams. The Techno sports was completed by the immense support from Prof Sanmukh Kaur Principal DBRAIT.
