
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 5: The Andaman & Nicobar Fire and Emergency Services Training Centre has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of the 55th External Sub-Officers Course. The course commenced on 12 January 2026, following the conferment of the prestigious State Training Centre (STC) recognition by the National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
This was the second batch conducted after the recognition of State Training Centre. A total of 27 fire service personnel from reputed organizations across India, including Bihar Fire Services, Maharashtra Fire Service, MIDC Fire Services, and West Bengal Fire Service, reported to the Netaji Subash Candra Bose Police Training Institute & State Training Centre to undergo the intensive 22-week training programme.
After successfully completing the training programme and examinations conducted as per NFSC norms, the trainees were relieved from the Training Centre to proceed to their respective industrial attachments as part of the course curriculum.
To mark the successful completion of the training, a farewell function was organized at the Fire Service Training Centre. The programme was graced by Shri Uma Shankar, DANIPS, Superintendent of Police (Fire), in the presence of Shri Ankesh Yadav, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Fire), along with other senior Fire officers, faculty members, and Training staff of the Fire and Emergency Services.
During the function, the officers congratulated the trainees on their successful completion of the course and wished them success in their future assignments. The trainees expressed their gratitude to the faculty and staff for their guidance, support, and professional training throughout the programme.
