ANSLSA Observes World Environment Day

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 5: The Andaman and Nicobar State Legal Services Authority (ANSLSA) today officially observed World Environment Day by organizing a symbolic sapling plantation drive. The event was held within the premises of the High Court and the District Complex to actively promote environmental conservation and underscore the civic duties of citizens toward preserving nature.

To mark the occasion, Shri Rahid Alam, Registrar of the Circuit Bench of the Calcutta High Court and Member Secretary of ANSLSA, alongside Shri Subhra Bandyopadhyay, District Judge and Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), formally planted tree saplings within the High Court and District Court premises with due assistance of the officials of the Department of Forests, A & N Islands.

The initiative aimed to raise awareness regarding the critical importance of ecological protection and sustainable living. Learned Judicial Officers, along with administrative staff from both the High Court and District Court, actively participated in the drive to show their collective institutional solidarity toward a greener future.
