Sri Vijaya Puram, April 19: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) successfully conducted an Integrated Health Camp at Community hall of Pradhan Office, Garacharma. The camp was organized for the benefit of the sanitary workers. The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Subrata Saha, Project Director, ANACS. The programme focused on promoting health awareness and providing essential medical screening services to the participants. A total of 25 sanitary workers benefited from this initiative.
During the camp, participants were screened for multiple health conditions, including HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Blood Pressure (BP), Blood Sugar levels, and Syphilis. The campaign aimed at early detection, prevention, and awareness.
ANACS also conducted awareness sessions, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups, safe practices, and timely treatment and participants were also encouraged to adopt preventive measures in their daily lives.
ANACS will continue organizing outreach integrated health camps to benefit employees across other panchayats and wards.
