Sri Vijaya Puram, May 6: As per the directions of the Ministry of Labour and Employment, New Delhi under Model Welfare Scheme for Building and Other Construction Workers and Action Plan for Strengthening Implementation Machinery, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board will organize short term Skill Development Training Program for the registered beneficiaries and their dependents in the following trades in collaboration with the Industrial Training Institute under the Andaman & Nicobar Administration in order to help them upgrade their skills acquiring new set of skills. The details of Trades for Skill Development Training Program are as below:
1: Brick Mason: 330 Hours
2. Mason Concrete: 390 Hours
3. Assistant Shuttering Carpenter: 360 Hours
4. Shuttering Carpenter: 570 Hours
5. Assistant Scaffolder – System: 330 Hours
6. Assistant Electrician: 390 Hours
7. Construction Painter & Decorator: 420 Hours
8. Assistant False Ceiling and Drywall Installer: 360 Hours
The above Skill Development Training Program for registered beneficiaries and their dependents will be free of cost and on completion of the training by the successful beneficiaries and their dependents a certificate will be issued to them.
All the registered beneficiaries and their dependents interested for undergoing the training in the above trades may submit their application mentioning the trade under which they are interested to undergo the Skill Development Training Program. The application may be submitted duly addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Andaman & Nicobar Islands Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, Supply Line, Sri Vijaya Puram.
