Sri Vijaya Puram, June 28: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands Pencak Silat team delivered an outstanding performance at the 14th National Pencak Silat Championship 2026, held in Tapovan, Nashik, Maharashtra. Organised by Maharashtra Pencak Silat Association under the auspices of the Indian Pencak Silat Federation—And recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Sports Authority of India—the event ran from 25th to 28th June 2026. Our young athletes, aged 5 to 16, competed across India over the strength of 1900 in Singa, Macan, pre-teen, sub-junior, and junior categories, proudly securing 3 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze and overall 19 medals. With our team consistently bringing home national honors, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to these young champions and wish them continued success in putting our islands on the sports map.
