Andaman Rowers Win Bronze at U23 & 1st Para National Rowing Championship

Pune, June 28: The Andaman & Nicobar Islands have brought laurels to the Union Territory as Ms. Sneha Toppo and Ms. P. Alagammal secured the Bronze Medal in the BLW2X event at the U23 & 1st Para National Rowing Championship, held from 24th to 27th June 2026 in Pune, Maharashtra.

The remarkable achievement reflects the dedication, hard work, and determination of the athletes, who delivered an impressive performance against strong competition from across the country.

Congratulating the medal winners, Shri TSG Bhasker, President, ANRA, Shri. Easudasan, General Secretary, ANRA and all committee members of ANRA lauded Ms. Sneha Toppo and Ms. P. Alagammal for their outstanding accomplishment and bringing pride to the Islands.

They appreciated the efforts of their coaches for their unwavering guidance, commitment, and support in preparing the athletes for the national championship.

They also expressed confidence that this success would inspire many young sportspersons from the Islands to take up rowing and strive for excellence at the national and international levels.
