ANTCC President Urges APWD to Undertake Immediate Repair from Mithakhari to Namunaghar Junction

Sri Vijaya Puram, June 1: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President Shri. Rangalal Halder has addressed a formal communication to the Chief Engineer, APWD, drawing urgent attention to the poor and deteriorating condition of the road stretch from Mithakhari Junction to Namunaghar Junction.

In his letter, Shri. Halder highlighted that the said road has become a major concern for residents, daily commuters, and particularly for school-going children, with schools having recently reopened. He noted that the road is riddled with large potholes, broken sections, and uneven surfaces, which pose serious risks to two-wheeler riders and pedestrians alike.

Shri. Halder emphasized that “The condition of this road is not only causing immense discomfort but is also endangering lives. If not repaired promptly, it may result in accidents and health problems due to the bumpy rides and dust pollution”.

He further urged the APWD to undertake immediate repair and maintenance work on this crucial route to ensure the safety and convenience of schoolchildren, office-goers, and the local public.

Shri. Halder expressed hope that the department would respond swiftly to the legitimate demand of the people and take appropriate steps without delay.
