State Level Training Programme on Panchayat Advancement Index 2.0 Organised

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 1: The Directorate of RD, PRIs & ULBs, A & N Administration organized a One-Day State-Level Training Programme on the Panchayat Advancement Index (PAI) 2.0 on June 30, 2025, at the SPRC Training Hall, Marine Hill, Sri Vijaya Puram. The programme aimed to enhance the capacity of key stakeholders in the Panchayati Raj system and promote data-driven, accountable local governance.

The training programme was inaugurated by Smti. K.A. Prameela, Assistant Director (RD/P), who underscored the significance of data-driven evaluation in enhancing Panchayat performance. In her address, she emphasized the role of the PAI framework in promoting transparency, accountability, and evidence-based planning at the grassroots level.

The event saw participation from Block Development Officers (BDOs), officials from Line Departments, Panchayat Secretaries, RGSA (Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan) Team members, and staff of the Rural Development Department. The training session provided comprehensive insights into the methodology, indicators, and implementation process of the PAI, aimed at assessing and benchmarking Panchayat performance across critical service delivery and governance sectors.

The programme featured sessions by four experienced Master Trainers, who shared their expertise on various aspects of the PAI framework.

This initiative conducted under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA), reinforces the commitment to evidence-based planning, grassroots accountability, and stronger Panchayati Raj Institutions.

The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Shri. Jitesh Dubey, Extension Officers.
