ANTCC President Urges Chief Secretary to Extend A&N Administration Recruitment–2026 Application Deadline to Safeguard Opportunities for Aspirants

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 16: The President of the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC), Shri Rangalal Halder, has submitted a representation to the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration, requesting an extension of the last date for submission of online applications for the Combined Matric Level Posts Recruitment–2026 and Combined Higher Secondary Level Posts Recruitment–2026.

In his representation, Shri Halder stated that the present deadline for submission of online applications was 15th July, 2026. However, a large number of aspiring candidates have been facing persistent technical difficulties while submitting their applications due to frequent website and server-related issues. These technical glitches have prevented many eligible candidates from successfully completing the online application process within the stipulated time.

He further pointed out that several applicants are still in the process of obtaining essential supporting documents, including category certificates and other mandatory certificates issued by the competent authorities. Owing to these genuine difficulties, many deserving candidates may be deprived of the opportunity to participate in the recruitment process despite fulfilling all eligibility criteria.

Considering the hardships faced by the applicants, Shri Halder has earnestly appealed to the Chief Secretary to extend the last date for submission of online applications by one week beyond the existing deadline. He emphasized that such an extension would provide much-needed relief to thousands of aspiring youth across the islands and ensure that no eligible candidate is denied an opportunity due to circumstances beyond their control.

The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee expressed confidence that the Administration would consider the request sympathetically in the larger candidates interest and uphold the principles of fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity in the recruitment process.
