Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 8: Bye-election conducted for Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies of Madhupur-6 of Gram Panchayat Madhupur under Diglipur Tehsil, Bakultala-3 of Gram Panchayat Bakultala under Rangat Tehsil, Mannarghat-4 of Gram Panchayat Mannarghat and Bambooflat-1 of Gram Panchayat Hope Town under Ferrargunj Tehsil, Zilla Parishad Member, Mayabunder, North & Middle Andaman and Ward Councillor of Ward No. 17, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council, respectively were held today. The polled materials have been kept in the identified strong rooms and the entire election process was held in a free, fair and transparent manner.
The polled percentages for the respective Gram Panchayat Members, Zilla Parishad Member Mayabunder Constituencies and Ward Councillor of Ward No. 17 are as under:
1) Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Madhupur-6 of Gram Panchayat Madhupur under Diglipur Tehsil – 76.97%
2) Zilla Parishad Member of Mayabunder Constituency under Mayabunder Tehsil – 44.62%
3) Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Bakultala-3 of Gram Panchayat Bakultala under Rangat Tehsil – 67.81%
4) Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Mannarghat-4 of Gram Panchayat Mannarghat under Ferrargunj Tehsil – 65.75%
5) Gram Panchayat Member Constituency Bambooflat-1 of Gram Panchayat Hope Town under Ferrargunj Tehsil – 72.28%
6) Ward Councillor of Ward No. 17, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council – 39.73%
The counting of votes of the aforesaid Gram Panchayat Members, Zilla Parishad Member Mayabunder Constituency and Ward Councillor of Ward No. 17 shall be held on 10/02/2026 from 8 AM onwards at their respective Counting Centres.
