Department of AH&VS Conducts Veterinary Infertility Camp at Diglipur

Diglipur, June 30: A Veterinary Infertility Camp was organized at Deshbandhu Gram, under Madhupur Gram Panchayat, Diglipur by the Veterinary Hospital Diglipur as part of the initiative of the Department AH & VS to improve milk production in N&M Andaman District.

A total of 27 animals were examined during the camp, benefiting 15 farmers of the area. The camp addressed various reproductive issues in livestock, including 3 cases of repeat breeding, 2 cases of anoestrus, and 1 case each of metritis and cervicitis.

To support animal health and nutrition, mineral mixture powder was distributed to 15 beneficiaries, and 21 animals were given deworming treatment.

The camp was conducted by a dedicated team comprising of Dr. Bhojane Nagnath Martand, Senior Veterinary Officer, Veterinary Hospital Diglipur, Dr. Kshitij Pareek, Senior Veterinary Officer, Veterinary Dispensary Billiground, along with the staff of Veterinary Hospital Diglipur, who played an active role in examining and treating the animals.

This initiative is part of the Department’s continuous efforts to enhance livestock productivity and provide doorstep veterinary services to rural farmers for improved livelihood and animal welfare.
