Sri Vijaya Puram, April 28: The Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs, in coordination with the Andaman & Nicobar State Sports Council, Department of Education, and various Sports Associations, will organize a 45-day Summer Sports Coaching Camp at Netaji Sports Complex from 6th May to 20th June, 2026. The camp is open for school students aged 9 to 16 years and will cover the sports disciplines viz. Football, Cricket, Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, Cycling, Chess, Badminton, Archery, Athletics, and Table Tennis.
Interested students may register by filling out the prescribed form available at Netaji Stadium from April 29 to May 4 between 10 am and 4 pm. Applicants are required to submit a passport-size photograph along with a copy of Aadhaar Card as proof of age.
The Directorate continues to take proactive initiatives to promote sports culture among young boys and girls across the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. As part of its annual programme during the summer vacation, this 45-day coaching camp aims to nurture talent, encourage participation, and develop sporting skills among the youth of the Islands.
