Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 7: The Director of Health Services has accorded Administrative Approval and Expenditure Sanction (AA & ES) for the procurement of consumables, including reagents, worth Rs.9 crore for laboratory tests at G.B. Pant Hospital. Due to a temporary shortage of certain laboratory reagents, some laboratory tests at G.B. Pant Hospital, could not be performed during the last few days. The matter has been duly addressed by the Department, and supply orders for the required reagents have now been issued after completion of all requisite codal formalities.
The required reagents are expected to be made available shortly, following which the affected laboratory tests will be restored and performed as per the normal routine.
The general public is, therefore, requested not to be alarmed. The Department is closely monitoring the situation and taking all necessary measures to ensure the uninterrupted availability of essential diagnostic services at G.B. Pant Hospital.
