Sri Vijaya Puram, June 26: In compliance with the order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 01.04.2025 in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 645/2022 – IMA & Anr. vs. Union of India & Ors., the Directorate of Health Services, A & N Administration, has established Grievances Redressal Mechanism with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling complaints related to objectionable advertisements under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 and the Rules, 1955.
The general public may lodge complaints regarding the objectionable advertisements under the Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954 and the Rules, 1955, through either of the following modes:
•Physical submission at O/o the Deputy Director (Ayush)/State Licensing Authority (ASU), Ayush Hospital, Junglighat, Sri Vijaya Puram.
•Through email at objectionableadvertisements.ani@gmail.com.
•Toll-Free No 03192-232102 operational at G. B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The resolution time for a complaint shall ordinarily be 45 days from its receipt. The Director of Health Services / State Drug Controller has been designated as the first appellate authority, and the Secretary (Health), A & N Administration, shall be the Second Appellate Authority for unresolved grievances.
The general public have been informed to remain vigilant and report any misleading advertisements related to drugs and magic remedies.
