Sri Vijaya Puram, April 12: Dr. Apurva Sharma, Director (RD/PRI) inaugurated the Office of Khushi Block Level Federation (BLF) of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) formed under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) at Pathargadda under C.D. Block Prothrapur, in the presence of Smti. Gurjeet Kaur, Block Development Officer (Prothrapur), Block Staff, CRPs and members of Khushi BLF, marking a significant milestone in strengthening community-based institutions and promoting sustainable livelihoods among Self Help Groups (SHGs).
The newly inaugurated BLF office will act as the central point for coordination among multiple SHGs. It helps in planning meetings, maintaining records, and ensuring smooth communication between groups and higher authorities. The office is equipped with a dedicated sales outlet, providing SHG members a platform to market and sell their products, thereby enhancing their income opportunities. Additionally, the office will serve as a community resource center, where SHG members plan to conduct tuition classes in the evening for underprivileged children, contributing to social development alongside economic empowerment.
Director (RD/PRI) congratulated the SHG members and office bearers of the Khushi BLF for their dedication and collective efforts. He interacted with the members and encouraged them to explore diverse income-generating activities, emphasizing the importance of financial sustainability and entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
Smti Gurjeet Kaur, Block Development Officer (Prothrapur), highlighted that the establishment of the BLF office reflects the growing strength of SHG institutions and their role in empowering rural women and fostering inclusive development.
